The Parks Advisory Board meets the second Tuesday of every month at 7 pm at the City Administration Building.  During the warmer months, the meeting may be held at one of our local parks so check

For immediate assistance with Park Items, please contact the City Administrator or City offices at 740/964-2146 or submit a service request through the City website.  Please contact the Board at pataskalaparks@ci.pataskala.oh.us to be added to the meeting agenda.  Note:  Messages and emails are returned by Park Board member volunteers as soon as possible.  The City of Pataskala does not employ a Park Director. 

The Parks and Recreation Department, under the direction of the Pataskala City Administrator, is responsible for the park system in the City of Pataskala. The mission is to maintain the lands within the parks in order for all members of the community to enjoy the natural beauty each park provides.

The Pataskala Park Advisory Board strives to improve the parks through careful planning and coordination with other City departments, volunteers and other community organizations in an effort to maintain and continually improve our grounds and park amenities.  The City of Pataskala uses Recreational Use Agreements for local nonprofit recreational users to provide recreational programs.  In turn, the users maintain the recreational facilities and fields and provide porta johns. w
 
The City of Pataskala owns six parks located throughout the City. Each park offers different amenities.  The Parks are classified on the basis of size, facilities, and service area. Neighborhood parks, such as Liberty, Freedom, and Citizens Parks, range between five to 20-acres in size, and are planned to provide service for one-quarter mile to one-half mile radius. Neighborhood parks typically include amentities such as playground equipment and picnic areas.
 
District parks, such as Foundation Park, are usually between 20 to 100 acres, and are constructed to provide service to one-half mile to three mile radius area. The larger district parks include amentities such as playground equipment, picnic areas, and sports fields.

Municipal Park Shelter, Karr Park Shelter, Freedom Park Shelter and the Shelter at Conaway Trail are available for use on a first come, first serve basis. Please note that the Softball and Soccer garages are not shelters but are recreational facilities.
