Enterprise Zone (EZ):
The City is located in an Enterprise Zone, which provides the opportunity for eligible projects to receive tax exemptions of up to 75% for 15 years. These exemptions apply to investment in new real property improvements.
Joint Economic Development District (JEDD):
The City has partnered with Harrison Township and the City of
Newark to create a Joint Economic Development District in and around
the Job Ready Site / Pataskala Corporate Park area. This area consists
of over 500+ acres of prime development sites. The JEDD establishes
and income tax of 1.75% in this JEDD area which will provide additional
resources for infrastructure improvements in the JEDD area.
The City currently has three Tax Increment Financing (TIF) areas, with two of the areas located along State Route 310, south of the Old Village Area, and a TIF in the City's primary Planned Manufacturing area southeast of the intersection of State Route 16 (Broad Street) and Mink Street, which includes the City's Job Ready Site / Pataskala Corporate Park. Tax Increment Financing provides for a re-direction of increased property taxes from new development towards infrastructure improvements in and around the Pataskala Corporate Park.
