A number of special projects are undertaken by the Planning and Zoning Commission from time to time. Click here to view the

The Planning and Zoning Commission is spending a year long project on completing minor corrections to the Zoning Code as well as exploring revisions to planned districts and districts that include historic village centers.
The Director works on the NPDES Permit requirements as Stormwater Manager, including placing information on the City website, working with the local school districts on educational programs and submission of the annual report to Ohio EPA.
Chapter 1257, Flood Plain Overlay District, was revised and passed by Council in early 2007 to conform with the requirements of the National Flood Insurance Program that took effect in May of 2007. This enables Pataskala residents to purchase flood insurance and to be eligible for Federal disaster assistance related to flooding if such disaster should ever strike the community.
Staff participates on the City’s behalf with regional initiatives such as those coordinated by the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission. Current projects include the S.R. 310 Corridor Study and the Blacklick Watershed Action Plan and The Central Ohio Green Pact.
