We anticipate additional curb installation to take place in the coming weeks. The contractor will try and have work wrap up by Wednesday Novemer 25th for the holiday weekend but could work on Friday the 27th if needed.  Work will then resume on Monday, November ...30th.  We appreciate your continued patience as this large infrastructure improvements project continues.

Starting Friday, November 13th the widening part of the north side of Broad Street and Mink Street north of Broad will begin being paved.  This work will continue into Saturday, November 14th and finished up on Monday, November 16th if needed.  The times of this part of the project will be from 7am to 6pm.  There will be a flagger to help with traffic.  EXPECT DELAYS!  Again, thank you for your patience!

Starting Monday, November 9th and ending Monday, November 23rd, Mink Street north will be closed from Broad Street to the Rail Road tracks to install stone and pavement for the intersection project. This means it will be closed for 2 weeks straight. It cannot be reopened during the evening hours or weekends. The north side of Broad Street will also be closed due to the same reasoning. Traffic will not be closed in either direction but it will cause delays. The closure of the north side of Broad will be about 500 feet east and west of Mink Street. The lanes will be more narrow and there will be a police presence to insure the safety of the workers along with the motorist.

In order to ensure safe travel among motorists and the workers on this project Main street, state route 310, from Mill street to the railroad tracks will be CLOSED starting September 22nd, NORTH AND SOUTH bound from 7am – 6pm Monday thru Friday.  (Residents that LIVE on Main Street will have access to their homes during these times)  Mill Street and Front Street will be left open since this is the same pattern that is used during the Street Fair.  North bound will re-open every night after 6pm. This policy will be in place for the next 5 months.
