ROADWAY SNOW REMOVAL - UPDATE (2/9- 7:00 pm)
The Licking County Sheriff has issued a Level II Snow Emergency for Licking County. Accordingly, the City's Public Service Department will plow all streets, including those in subdivisions and side streets. Plowing within subdivisions and side streets will begin once all major roads are in a passable condition. Crews worked throughout the day on Tuesday to keep the main roads clear from snow. Crews will begin working to clear main roads again in the early morning hours on Wednesday. They will focus on re-clearing the main roads and then begin work on subdivision and side streets. The City anticipates getting a few initial crews started on the subdivision and side streets first thing tomorrow morning. Once the main roads are clear, all crews will focus on the subdivision and side streets. Please continue to check back for additional information related to the current snow event. Also, feel free to call the Director of Public Services at 740-927-0145 with any questions you may have. We appreciate your patience and cooperation during this snow event.

2010 City Operating Budget
The Pataskala City Council has adopted the 2010 Operating Budget. The budget was adopted at this time of year to provide citizens information on how the city is planning on using its resources in the future. Emphasis has been placed on transparency in the budget as illustrated by explicit listing of projects and funds throughout the budget so as to clearly communicate the City's 2010 priorities. In particular, funds have been set aside for contingency/"rainy day" funds from the general fund and in police operations in anticipation of the collection of Police Levy revenues ceasing at the end of 2010. Policy Levy revenues estimated at $1.7 million in 2010 to no funding in 2011 except for a small amount of residual collections.
