City Utility Study- 2010

The City of Pataskala, in conjunction with W.E. Stilson Consulting Group, recently completed a comprehensive Utility Study. The study consisted of review and recommendations related to waste water, water, and storm water management practices. The report can be viewed by clicking here.

Columbia Gas to begin replacing gas line risers

Columbia Gas of Ohio will upgrade the service line connection to gas meters of 1,500 customers in Pataskala. Columbia Gas will start replacing risers on August 2nd and estimates completion by September 15, 2010. The riser connects the gas meter to the service line. City Council 4th Ward - Vacancy

The City of Pataskala is accepting letters of interst from residents of the city's 4th ward for the vacant City Council 4th Ward seat. All letters of interest may be delivered to the Office of the Clerk of Council located at 621 West Broad Street, faxed to 740-927-0679, or e-mailed to khoskin@ci.pataskala.oh.us no later than midnight, August 2, 2010. Planning & Zoning Commission Vacancy

The City of Pataskala will accept Letters of Interest including a resume or biographical information for a Planning and Zoning Commission Member (to fill an unexpired four year term). This seven (7) member Commission meets in the evenings the first and third Wednesdays of each month to review and decide matters related to planning, zoning and land use in the City of Pataskala. Letters of Interest may be delivered to the office of the Clerk of Council at the Municipal Building, 621 West Broad Street or by fax to 740-927-0679, or e-mail to khoskin@ci.pataskala.oh.is. The Oaks Equalization Board Vacancy

The City of Pataskala is accepting letters from residents who are interested in serving on The Oaks Sanitary Sewer Assessment Equalization Board. It is anticipated that this board will meet a total of 2-4 evenings, for two hours each to review and act on objections that may be filed in relation to the property assessments determined as part of The Oaks Sanitary Sewer Project. Pataskala Income Tax Notification

Effective July 1, 2010, the City of Pataskala will enact a 1% (.01) municipal income tax that is imposed on all earned income on individuals and business entities residing, working, or doing business in Pataskala. To find additional information about this income tax, click here.

Charter Review Commission Survey

The Charter Review Commission is currently reviewing the City of Pataskala's Charter. The Charter for the City of Pataskala is similar to the Constitution of the United States. Every five years, a review of the Charter's contents by an appointed Charter Review Commission is required. The Commission asks that you complete their survey, which can be found by clicking here.

SRTS Engineers ReportThe draft engineering report for the Licking Heights Safe Routes to Schools program has been released. This provides a framework for future infrastructure grant funding. The public is invited to comment to Dianne Harris, Director of Planning.

Online City Water and Sewer Bill Payment

Customers of Pataskala's Water and Sewer Department can now pay their utility bill online or by toll-free telephone call. The City's Utility Billing Department has partnered with vendor Official Payments to offer this service. There is a $3.95 transaction fee applied by Official Payments for each payment made through their service. To pay online, visit www.officialpayments.com. For telephone payment, call 1-800-272-9829.
