The intersection at Mill Street and Main Street will be CLOSED to ALL traffic Thursday OCTOBER 1st, from 7am to 6pm. This will allow for installation of permanent pavement across the intersection. Message boards will be installed at Refugee and 310 and Broad and 310 in an effort to minimize detour traffic in neighborhoods along State Route 310.

As of today, 9-29-15 the Mink and Broad intersection project is underway.  They are working on utilities relocation this week.
As of today 9-29-15, the contractor has installed the new storm sewer starting at the creek and running north to Broadway.  The contractor will drop back to install laterals across Main Street at Mill Street, Main Street and George Street and Main Street at Benton.  This work will be done later this week.

CONSTRUCTION NEWS -  In order to ensure safe travel among motorists and the workers on this project Main street, state route 310, from Mill street to the railroad tracks will be CLOSED starting September 22nd, NORTH AND SOUTH bound from 7am – 6pm Monday thru Friday.  (Residents that LIVE on Main Street will have access to their homes during these times)  Mill Street and Front Street will be left open since this is the same pattern that is used during the Street Fair.  North bound will re-open every night after 6pm. This policy will be in place for the next 5 months.

We are aware that there is an away Watkins football game at Newark, an away Licking Heights football game on Friday night at Licking Valley, Thursday night parents have to work so it would be hard to get kids dressed and ready for Trick or Treat and parties will be held on the weekend. After taking that all into consideration and seeing what the residents wanted per the City's Facebook page, the Mayor decided to go with what was suggested the most and make Trick-or-Treat on Saturday, October 31st from 5:30-7:30. We know that not everyone will be happy with this decision for many reasons but please be respectful! This date was not 'picked' because of ANY OTHER REASON than it is Halloween and the overwhelming response from residents was to hold Trick-or-Treat on Saturday.
